Youth at St Peter's
Looking for a cool place to have fun? Look no further! Youth at St. Peter's is all about having fun. Oh--and of course it is about building meaningful, life-long relationships with one another, and about growing in our knowledge and understanding of God together .
We meet every Wednesday night @ 6:30pm until about 8:30 pm. We do everything from games nights at the church to indoor rock climbing, volunteering at local outreach organizations, or venturing to live theatre productions put on by local theatres. We like to get involved in our community: on our monthly visits to the Mustard Seed & Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, we help serve up food and fun in a safe and friendly environment. During the winter season we try and get outside, whether skiing or snowshoeing down by the Glenmore Reservoir (which is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from us), or ice skating and tobogganing, which of course is followed up with some nice hot cocoa.
Last year we travelled to Colima, Mexico to work alongside an organization called Hope for the Nations, helping at their orphanages. It was a beneficial experience which strengthened the already strong bonds among the youth of St Peter’s. Prior to going, we spent many hours fundraising through bottle drives and specialty dinners.
If you are looking to grow more in your study of the Bible, join us every Sunday morning at 10 am as we explore God's Word and how it is relevant in our daily lives.
Whatever you are into—there are great experiences waiting for you here at St. Peter's, so please come and join us!
